A few words from one our club members at Hertford Rifle Club...Bill Welch

My first encounter with the club was in 1963, the Assistant Commissioner for the local Boy Scouts was Jack Britcher and he was also the Secretary of Hertford MRC.

He invited any Scouts who wanted to learn to shoot and qualify for their marksman’s badge to go to the rifle club. I went with my friend Kevin and after some months we got our badge.

I shot with the club for a while until other things got in the way only to rejoin some 50 years later when the range of my other club was out of action for a while.
